LA Galaxy's Joseph Paintsil made a triumphant comeback from injury, contributing a crucial goal as his team secured a 4-2 victory over Sporting Kansas City in the Major League Soccer (MLS) on Saturday.

After sitting out of the last five games due to a muscle injury, Paintsil received the green light from LA Galaxy coach Greg Vanney ahead of the match.

"Joe has been fully involved this entire week, and he participated in partial training sessions last week. He's ready to join the team and be ready to go," Vanney affirmed.

Coming off the bench, Paintsil notched his fifth goal of the season, playing a pivotal role in Galaxy's thrilling 4-2 win.

The 26-year-old has been a standout performer for the team this season, amassing five goals and four assists in 13 games.

His injury had also led to his absence from the Black Stars squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Mali and the Central African Republic.
