Nsoatreman FC, the reigning champions of the Ghana FA Cup, have formally announced the appointment of Yaw Preko as their new head coach.

This decision comes after the departure of Maxwell Konadu, who left his post to take up a coaching role with the South African club, Black Leopards.

Konadu's tenure with Nsoatreman FC was marked by significant achievements. He guided the team to a top four finish and, notably, secured the club's first major silverware with a victory over regional rivals Bofoakwa Tano FC in the MTN FA Cup final.

Nsoatreman FC officially confirmed the news of Preko's appointment via their social media platforms, stating, "OFFICIAL NOTICE We gladly confirm that Coach Yaw Preko, A.K.A RUSH, has signed a deal with our club. Welcome to Amanaso, RUSH!"

Preko has committed to a two-year contract with Nsoatreman FC. As the new head coach, he will be entrusted with the responsibility of leading the team in the 2024/25 football season. His primary objectives will be to defend the FA Cup and ensure a strong performance in the CAF Confederations Cup.

Preko brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously managed Accra Hearts of Oak, Accra Great Olympics, Medeama SC, and Nigerian side Ifeanyi Ubah, among others. He also currently serves as the coach for the national U-15 team.
