We will work hard to come back stronger next season - Hearts of Oak coach Aboubakar Ouattara

Hearts of Oak coach Aboubakar Ouattara has expressed his displeasure following the club’s unimpressive performance last season.

The Phobians have struggled to make an impact in the Ghana Premier League over the past two seasons. In the last two seasons, Hearts of Oak failed to secure a top ten finish, placing 12th and 14th respectively.

In the recently concluded season, the Ghanaian giants had to wait until the final day to know their faith in the Ghanaian top-flight. They needed a win against Bechem United at all cost to survive relegation.

Speaking to Sports Obama TV, Ouattara admitted his outfit underperformance and has therefore promised to work hard with his charges to bounce back stronger next season.

“I congratulates Samartex for winning the Ghana Premier League. Accra Lions also had a good season. Unfortunately for Hearts of Oak, we struggled to stay in the league. It’s part of the game so we accept the challenge and hopefully work hard to come back next season” he said.

The 2024/25 Ghana Premier League campaign will commence in September 2024.
