Following a scan after Jeremie Frimpong’s horrific injury during Celtic’s game against Motherwell, it has been confirmed that there is no ligament tear.

This comes as a piece of good news for the teenager who has been outstanding since joining the Scottish Premier League giants last season.

Before the international break, Jeremie Frimpong picked up an injury while in action for his club in the 4-1 away win against Motherwell.

In a game that required that the full-back be substituted, there were fears he could spend months on the sidelines.

However, after a successful scan, no serious injury has been recorded and hence Frimpong is expected to be back on the turf in no time.

Although not confirmed, the medical team of Celtic is envisaging a return for the player before the next game of the team against Hibernian next week in the Scottish Premier League.
