Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger sees Thomas Lemar as a direct replacement for Alexis Sanchez.
Wenger would be happy with selling Sanchez and replacing him with Monaco winger Lemar, according to Mirror journalist John Cross.
Gunners fan Cross believes "there is a realisation within the club" that star man Sanchez wants to leave, with Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain interested.
Sanchez hit 30 goals last season but Cross told BBC Radio 5live that Arsenal can't risk losing out on a potential £50m by letting him run down his contract and leave next summer - despite Wenger's public declarations of intent to keep him.
