Inter Allies skipper Victorien Adebayor is eyeing the golden boots after hitting a brace against Berekum Chelsea in match week 10 of the Ghana Premier League on Saturday.

Adebayor is currently in the form of his life, having scored ten goals and registered three assists in ten games for the 'Eleven is to One Boys' so far this campaign.

He put up a Man of the Match performance as he helped his side secure a 3-1 away victory over Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park to move up to 8th on the league table with 14 points.

Speaking to the media after the game, the Niger international said, "I told my teammates I want to score two goals against Berekum Chelsea to make a statement. And thank God I was able to score two goals. I’m ready to fight for the golden boot.

On his opening game against the Blues, he claimed, "I saw from the beginning the keeper wasn’t good. He was panicking in the goalposts. So I knew if add a bit technique I could score from that angle."

This season, the attacking midfielder has also been named the Most Valuable Player on four occasions.
