Inter Allies has confirmed Richmond Lamptey as the club’s new captain ahead of the start of the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season.

The midfielder who also excels when deployed into a defensive position is taking the armband to lead with his experience and seniority in the team.

He is replacing Michel Otu who was the captain for the side during their stint in the Normalization Committee Special Competition played earlier this year.

Inter Allies’ Technical Director, Willie Klutse confirmed the decision of the club in an interview with their official website.

‪”Richmond has the respect of his teammates and we’re extremely proud to name him as our captain for the season,” the football administrator said.

The midfielder will be deputized by former captain Hashmin Musah.

Richmond Lamptey has been with the club for the past 3 years after joining on a free transfer on the back of his departure from West Africa Football Academy (WAFA).
