Inter Allies held at home by Ashantigold

A 63rd minute goal by Dauda Mohammed from the spot kick handed defending champions Ashantigold a 1-1 draw away to Inter Allies at the Tema Sports Stadium today.

Ashantigold, who are struggling to defend the title they won last season went down in the 60th minute after Inter Allies' Frederick Boateng had taken the lead after the first half ended goalless.

The hosts couldn't hold on to their lead after conceding a penalty in which Dauda Mohammed converted to make sure they returned to Obuasi with a point.

However, both teams struggled to make a winning impact in the closing stages of the game with the game ending in a stalemate.
