International Friendly: Black Queens beat Teranga Lioness of Senegal 1-0 to complete impressive double

The Black Queens of Ghana labored on Tuesday afternoon to beat the Teranga Lioness of Senegal 1-0 at the end of a tough international friendly match.

The two women’s national teams locked horns in a first encounter on Saturday, April 8.

At the end of a very good exercise, the Black Queens secured a 3-0 victory after taking their chances in the first half.

Today, Ghana and Senegal went at it again at the Accra Sports Stadium for the second of the international friendly match.

Unlike the first friendly, Senegal played much better today and did not concede in the first 45 minutes.

However, in the second half, the team could not hold on as the Black Queens pushed until the side equalsied.

The solitary strike from Evelyn Badu in the 84th minute propelled Ghana to finish the game with a 1-0 win.

The victory means the Black Queens have completed a double win over the Teranga Lioness in the international friendlies.

New Ghana women’s national team head coach Nora Hauptle is now on a three-game winning streak since taking charge of the Black Queens.
