The friendly which forms part of a pre-tournament arrangement aimed at helping the two sides adequately prepare for the 2019 AFCON tournament could not produce any goals even though both coaches fielded a strong starting side on the day.

An impressive first half from the Black Stars could not materialize after they failed to capitalize on two clear cut goal scoring opportunities. The Bafana Bafana who had their fair share of possession could not threaten their opponent and also had to settle for the goalless draw after the first 45 minutes.

Despite continuing their dominance in the second half, Coach Kwesi Appiah’s men still failed to equalize. Several changes from both sides to try and get on the score sheet was not enough as the game eventually ended 0-0 after the 90 minutes.
