International sports journalist, David Ornstein, has confirmed that Thomas Partey has told Arsenal to pay him 200k plus a week in wages when he does sign for them.

Ornstein, a writer for The Athletic, has added that Atletico Madrid are standing firm on their 50 million euro price they have put on Partey. The fee happens to be his release clause.

Arsenal started talks with the Spanish side on the future of Partey and offered a cash plus player but Madrid rejected it. According to reports, Arsenal will wait until Atletico Madrid finish their Champions League campaign to restart talks.

It has been reported that Arsenal are looking to sell players to raise enough money for Partey, as they have been hugely affected by the coronavirus.

Partey has managed over 40 appearances for Atletico Madrid this season.
