Invest in your teams to make impact in Africa - Yusif Chibsah tells Ghanaian clubs

A member of the Professional Football Association of Ghana [PFAG], Yusif Alhassan Chibsah has called on Ghanaian clubs to invest in their clubs to make an impact in Africa.

His comments come following Asante Kotoko's 2-1 defeat to Algerian side ES Setif at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Despite taking the lead in the second half, the Algerian side came back to win the game in the first leg of the playoffs of the Caf Confederations.

According to Chibsah, the North Africans have dominated the CAF Champions and Confederation leagues because they are running their clubs on a business model.

"We need to spend, we have to sit and structure our teams on a business model that will work for us, ” he advised on Kumasi-based Fox FM.

"The North and East Africans are ahead, they are financially prepared that is why Al Ahly SC set aside two million dollars to buy a player last year,” he said.

Asante Kotoko will travel to Algiers this week for the return game.
