Ferencváros's sports director, Tamás Hajnal, has expressed his enthusiasm about the recent acquisition of the versatile Ghanaian midfielder, Isaac Pappoe.
Hajnal described Pappoe as a "very talented footballer with good qualities," highlighting his potential to contribute significantly to the team.
"Isaac Pappoe is a very talented footballer with good qualities who is a complex midfielder. He convinced us with his skills in both the defensive and offensive phases of the game," Hajnal said.
"Despite his young age, he shows a very mature game. He attracted attention with his physical attributes, speed and ability in possession. He is a footballer with a winning mentality, and we would like him to use this in Ferencváros as well. Isaac can be an important signing for us for the future, but we would like him to show his talent to our fans as soon as possible," he added.
The 20-year-old talent joined the Hungarian side from Israeli club FC Ashdod, with the transfer fee remaining undisclosed.
Isaac Pappoe, born on December 20, 2003, made his move to FC Ashdod in 2022 from his native Ghana. He spent the previous season on loan to Swiss second division club FC Aarau, where he showcased his versatility by playing both defensive and attacking midfield roles.
During his stint in Switzerland, Isaac Pappoe clocked an impressive 2165 minutes in 28 league matches, contributing two goals and five assists. He also featured in a single Swiss Cup match, playing for 84 minutes.
Before his move to Europe, Isaac Pappoe represented the Ghana U20 national team on two occasions, demonstrating his potential on the international stage.
Isaac Pappoe previously played for Ghanaian outfit Golden Kick SC. According to Transfermarkt Pappoe's market value is 400,000 euros.
