Ghanaian youngster Issah Abass is uncertain of his future at FC Utrecht with his loan contract expected to expire this summer.

The 21-year-old pacey winger secured a season-long loan move from German Bundesliga side FSV Mainz 05 to the Dutch Eredivisie side prior to the beginning of the 2019/2020 season.

Since arriving at Utrecht, Issah Abass has worked his socks off and has managed to impress. It looked like he would be signed permanently until the Coronavirus pandemic came in.

With football now suspended, clubs will like to cut costs as much as possible and it doesn't look like they are thinking about transfers at the moment.

With the player’s contract expected to end this summer, it is uncertain whether the storm of Covid-19 will settle before that or not.

In line with that, Abass faces an uncertain future at Utrecht in the final months of his deal

Nonetheless, he will have a place at Mainz O5 if a permanent transfer is not secured by the time football resumes.
