It is good Saint Etienne has returned to winning ways - Dennis Appiah

Defender Dennis Appiah has stated that he is happy with Saint Etienne's current form in the French Ligue 2.

Saint Etienne will travel to take on Bordeaux on Saturday and the Stéphanois are preparing this meeting meticulously because the Girondins are a notch above the teams that have lost to the Greens in the last four games.

Saint Etienne has recorded 4 victories in a row, against clubs engaged in the race to remain in the league, namely Annecy (3-2), Dijon (2-0), Nîmes (2-1), and Pau ( 2-0). While the Girondins are 2nd in the standings with 45 points, and well placed for promotion to Ligue 1.

“In 2023, we are now at 6 wins, including 4 in a row with some clean sheets. It's good the team is finally showing a good face, probably the one it should have shown since the start of the season,” Appiah said.

Last in the championship in December 2022, the Stéphanois moved up to 15th place and are no longer eligible for relegation.
