It is time to unite and work hard for Asante Kotoko - Opoku Nti

In the wake of the constitution of an Interim Management Committee (IMC) to temporarily oversee the affairs of Asante Kotoko, legendary figure Opoku Nti has stepped forward with a resounding call for unity and dedication.

As the club faces a pivotal moment in its history, Nti emphasizes the urgent need for all stakeholders to come together, leaving no stone unturned in their commitment to elevate Asante Kotoko to greater heights.

The four-member IMC includes Nana Apinkra Akwasi Awua who is the Kontomponiaferehene and a chartered accountant.

Other members are former Black Stars coach James Kwesi Appiah, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, who has been named the new head coach, and Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi, who will serve as the administrative manager.

"I think that the whole fraternity of Kotoko has let Nana down because some things we did in the past supporters played a key role. If the supporters are not there it is very difficult to run so if you look at the system where we give it to one person to run that was what was done for a long time till we started appointing a board with different people," he told Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com

"This brought about misunderstandings which generated a lot of problems some supporters too were divided into factions. If some management comes they will support and go on radio stations to talk and lambast we have all let Asanteman down,"

"Meanwhile others says why doesn't Otumfuo invest in the club are we prepared to protect his money we that Kotoko belongs to us that we support,"

"It is not only what someone will gain and pocket. So I think it is time all the fraternity of Kotoko to wake up, support put all things behind and begin to go back to pick the best to bring the team to the level that we know it was,"
