Accra Hearts of Oak head coach, Samuel Boadu lauded his players following their impressive win against Asante Kotoko but admitted it was a tough game.

The Phobians cemented their place on the league log as they extended the points to 59 points.

Hearts of Oak pipped their rivals, Kotoko in the matchday 31 game at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

After recording the all-important win, Boadu credited his players for staying disciplined on the pitch.

He also admitted that the game was a tough game but they were determined to secure all the three points.

"It was a big game. Kotoko played well but we were better and eager to win this crucial encounter to achieve our target of winning the title.

"My players were tactical on the pitch and in the end, it paid off."

When asked whether he spotted any weakness in Kotoko’s team, he answered in the negative saying “There was no weakness in Kotoko's team.

"We capitalized on our chance and we won,” he added.

Hearts of Oak will travel to the Cape Coast Stadium to play Ebusua Dwarfs in the matchday 32 games this weekend.
