It was so difficult winning MTN FA Cup this season - Karim Zito

Head coach of Dreams Football Club, Abdul Karim Zito has opened up on what it took for the side to win this season’s MTN FA Cup.

According to him, the Dawu-based club had a difficult time ending the journey on a good note especially after the team struggled to compete in the Ghana Premier League at some point.

“There is no achievement without hard work. It was so difficult but we were focused especially when we found ourselves at the bottom of the league so it made the work so tedious for me. But I tried to separate it. Today I thank God that we have been able to win,” Coach Karim Zito said.

In the end, the Dreams FC coach is also excited that he has become the first Ghanaian coach to win the MTN FA Cup twice as a player and now as a coach.

“I feel extremely high. I’m the first coach to win this Cup twice with Asante Kotoko as a player and today I have won the cup as a coach so I’m very very happy,” the experienced coach said.

Having won the MTN FA Cup, Dreams FC will now represent Ghana in the next edition of the CAF Confederations Cup.
