"It will affect them because football is now scientific" - Yahaya Mohammed on Kotoko players boycotting training

Aduana Stars captain Yahaya Mohammed believes the decision by Kotoko players to boycott training ahead of their CAF Champions League second leg against Al-Hilal will affect them.

Reports went rife in the local media that Kotoko players after their arrival in Sudan have refused to train due to unpaid per diems.

However, calm was restored in the camp of the Porcupine Warriors as the players received a total of $8,800 with each player pocketing $400.

According to the former Asante Kotoko striker, he believes the team will pay for it when they come up against the Sudanese giants at 13:00 GMT today at the Crescent Stadium.

"It will affect them because football is now scientific. The least mistake made will affect you if you are not strong psychologically," Mohammed said as quoted kickgh.com.

"What they have done has brought is disgraceful to Ghana football and the entire Kotoko team. They have every right to demand their money but not at this point in time. It should not be outside the country. They are there to serve Ghana and not Kotoko alone."

"So if anything negative thing appears on the internet, it affects Ghana football."
