Former Asante Kotoko icon, Eric Bekoe, has expressed his willingness to work with his former club, Hearts of Lions, following the team's qualification for the Ghana Premier League.

The club secured their spot in the league after emerging champions of Zone 3 of the National Division One League with five matches to spare.

Bekoe expressed his gratitude to the club for providing him with his breakthrough platform. He stated that he would be honoured to coach the team if given the opportunity.

Speaking to Radio Gold Sports, he said, “Hearts of Lions gave me my breakthrough platform so I’m so grateful to the club, Victor Ahiakpor and all those guys there, they’ve been wonderful.

“It will be a dream come true though, after playing as a player now a coach, I’m going to coach one club that I admire so much apart from Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

“It will be a blessing in disguise for that giant step.”

Bekoe played for Heart of Lions between 2004-2007, joining from Liberty Professionals.
