It will be difficult to keep Morocco duo Onahi and Boufal after World Cup – Angers president admits

The president of Angers football club, Saeed Chaaban has indicated that the club is aware it will be difficult to keep Morocco duo Ezzedine Onahi and Sofiane Boufal at the end of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The two players have been impressive for the Atlas Lions and helped their country to become the first African country to advance to the semi-finals of the mundial in Qatar.

According to Angers president Saeed Chaaban, the performance of the two players will definitely attract interest from several clubs.

Speaking in an interview, he said the club is open to all possibilities and will not be surprised if the two players leave the club in the next transfer window.

"We are preparing for everything. We held a meeting (Sunday) afternoon with the coach and sports coordinator to try to consider all possible scenarios,” president Saeed Chaaban said.

Ezzedine Onahi and Sofiane Boufal will be in action for Morocco on Wednesday when the side takes on defending Champions France.

Before the start of the World Cup, Onahi was valued 3.5 million euros and Boufal had his value at 8 million euros.

According to reports, the values of the two players would triple at the end of the 2022 FIFA World Cup following their outstanding displays for Morocco.
