As head coach Thomas Letsch revealed during a press conference on Thursday, the 25-year-old will need some time to adjust.

“Moritz is on fire. He trains very well. But in my opinion it would be irresponsible if we took him into the squad now,” said Letsch, who is planning for the upcoming Bundesliga break.

“We have the time during the international break to build him up further,”

Meanwhile, English-born Ghanaian winger Jordi Osei-Tutu (adductor muscle problems) has returned to training. His market worth is estimated to be €1.5 million according to Transfermarkt. Osei-Tutu appeared in 22 games for Bochum this season, but he was never able to establish himself in the long run.

On 22 June 2023, Moritz-Broni Kwarteng moved to Bundesliga club VfL Bochum. He signed a contract until 30 June 2027. Kwarteng was born in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg and is of Ghanaian descent.
