Christian Atsu manager, Abdul Hayye Yartey says it would be impossible to replace the 31-year-old.

The former Chelsea and Everton winger was confirmed dead after he was trapped in a rubble for 12 days after a 7.8 magnitude of earthquake struck Turkey and Syria two weeks ago.

Speaking to Graphic Sports, Hayye Yartey noted that Atsu was a likeable person both on and off the field, and had an attitude and character, which will be difficult to replicate and be identified among others.

"It will be very difficult to get someone like him, he is one in a generation," he said.

He said Atsu's strong mentality is something that is unique about him and was always seeking to have an impact on his club and fellow players.

He said a memorial match will soon be staged in his honour including other posthumous gestures and accolades in his honour.

"We have constructed an Atro Turf Pitch and we are naming it after him, there is also a memorial match to be staged in his honour," he stated.

Following the arrival of the remains, the family has confirmed that the one-week observation has been scheduled to take place on March 4.

Meanwhile, President Akufo Addo has assured that the state will also ensure the former Newcastle United winger will get a befitting burial.
