With Italy struggling to score goals under his tenure as Azzurri coach, Roberto Mancini is reportedly considering allocating more playing time in attack to starlets Patrick Cutrone, Moise Kean, and Pietro Pellegri for the future international break.

The Azzurri scored just twice in four Nations League matches including the 0-0 draw with Portugal in Milan on Saturday evening and Italian coach has not be able to get the best out of Lazio striker Ciro Immobile or find more goals with the implementation of a false nine.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Mancini has omitted established forwards such as Mario Balotelli and Andrea Belotti out of recent Azzurri squads due to their lack of form at club level, thus the thought of granting opportunities to Milan centre-forward Cutrone, Juventus striker Kean, and Monaco prodigy Pellegri.

Despite not achieving great success with the false nine experiment so far, the Azzurri coach could also consider using Sassuolo winger Domenico Berardi as a centre-forward and hope that he replicates his scoring form during his first two Serie A seasons with the Neroverdi.
