It's a privilege coaching former Inter Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari - Samuel Boadu

Hearts of Oak trainer Samuel Boadu feels privileged to be coaching former Inter Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari.

Muntari joined the Phobians in February 2022 on a short-term deal and has churn impressive performances for the club as they finished 6th on the league table and retained their MTN FA Cup by beating Bechem United last Sunday.

The 37-year-old also propelled the side to win the 2022 President's Cup against Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium.

"Sulley Muntari is a big player and has played some big teams in Europe but he doesn't rate himself high at the club," he told Asempa FM.

"I sometime punish him at the training grounds and he doesn't complain. He is always laughing and assisting the young players as well. Inkoom and Awako are also doing the same."

Coach Boadu equalled Attuquayefio’s record of winning back-to-back FA Cup titles at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Boadu since joining Hearts of Oak has won the Ghana Premier League title, two FA Cup titles, the President Cup and the Super Cup.

The former Medeama trainer will lead Hearts in Africa again next season as they compete for a slot in the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup.
