Ghanaian defender Joseph Aidoo has expressed excitement at his goal-scoring form this season, compared to the three previous seasons where he failed to find the back of the net.
Aidoo, who plays for Spanish LaLiga side Celta Vigo, scored a late winner in their match against Elche on Wednesday night, securing three crucial points for his team.
Speaking to Celta media after the game, Aidoo acknowledged the difficulty of the match and the importance of securing the win.
"Is a good game a difficult one because the team we played if they win they lose they are not going anywhere. So, this type of game is very difficult, but I think in the end, we had the three points," he said.
Aidoo went on to express his amazement at his goal-scoring form this season, stating, "I didn't think of anything, it is just joy that in the end, we had three points.
"It is important that what matters is the three points; it is very difficult, and even at 10, they are still here; they deserve the win," he explained.
With three goals in 30 LaLiga games this season, Aidoo will be hoping to continue his impressive goal-scoring form in the remaining matches of the season.
