Head coach of Real Tamale United Abdul Mumin Abdulai believes it’s too early to considers his outfit as a relegation candidate following their unimpressive performance.
The Pride of the North has been in dismal form this season and are now 17th on the Ghana Premier League with 14 points.
Out of 15 games, RTU have managed four wins, two draws and nine defeats.
RTU succumbed to a 1-0 defeat to Asante Kotoko in the week 16 of the domestic top-flight. The Ugandan striker, Steven Dese Mukwala, played a pivotal role by converting a second-half penalty in the 80th minute at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
“I think it’s early days yet. When you consider the league log, the points are just on one another. We still have two home games before the end of the first round and if we are able to put things in order, I think we will come out from that drop zone” he told StarTimes.
