Ghana attacking midfielder, Mohammed Kudus, says the work they are putting in at West Ham United training is reflecting in matches.

The 23-year-old said this after their 3-1 win over Arsenal on Wednesday night in the Carabao Cup at the London Stadium.

Kudus scored the second goal to help the Hammers reach the quarterfinal and set up a meeting with Liverpool at Anfield.

Speaking after the game, he admitted West Ham United knew Arsenal would have the majority of the ball but were prepared for it.

“We’ve been putting a lot of effort into it in training, so it was good to see it work. There is a new game coming up and we will put this one aside and focus on the weekend.”

David Moyes’ side took the lead 16 minutes into the game when Ben White turned the ball into his net following a corner kick.

Mohammed Kudus then made a very lovely first touch to bring down a lobbed pass from Nayef Aguerd before firing into the left bottom corner of the net in the 50th minute.

Jarrod Bowen then sealed the win with a brilliant goal from distance at the hour mark before Martin Odegaard got Arsenal a consolation in stoppage time.
