It's too early to call for three terms for FA President - Alex Akumey

Former GHALCA Vice President Alex Akumey has stated that the proposal to extend the terms of the Ghana Football Association presidency to three terms is too early.

According to Akumey, the current term should be left alone and a third term is also not advisable because if you stay in a particular position for a long time a lot of bad things begin to happen.

"In terms of the FA President going from two to three terms I believe that it is too early the first term just ended and we are rushing. The experience we have had with the past FA Presidents. Let's go with the two terms once or twice and see how they will do. The presidents that they will come, how they will handle things," he said on Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com

"If we need to go for three then we do it but it is too early that within the first term we are rushing for a third term. Personally I believe it is too early for one single person to go for three terms the reason is that if you stay somewhere for long there are somethings you will do that is bad and a lot of things goes bad under you,"
