Former Ghana star, Augustine Arhinful has reacted to the passing of Black Stars winger Christian Atsu.
Speaking to Original FM in an interview, the retired footballer who is now a trained coach said it’s very painful for him after learning that Atsu has passed in Turkey.
While mourning the death of the Ghana star, Augustine Arhinful has extended his condolences to the family of the deceased player.
“I express my deepest condolences to the family of our beloved brother Christian Atsu dead
“It's very painful but we give everything to the creator of the universe. I wish Christian Atsu Rest in perfect peace,” Augustine Arhinful said.
He further revealed, “I have experienced Earthquake and tremor during my era in Turkey before. It's a very serious tragedy and we pray that our Ghanaian Brothers in turkey should be very careful in turkey about such natural disasters.”
Ghana and the world learned of the passing of Christian Atsu on Saturday, February 18, after the player was discovered dead under the rubble of his apartment.
He is one of the over 40,000 people who died after the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria on February 6.
