I've been missing the goal for long time - Fiorentina midfielder Alfred Duncan admits

Fiorentina midfielder Alfred Duncan has admitted he has been missing the goal for a long time after he scored against Juventus on the final day of the 2021/22 Serie A season on Sunday.

The 29-year-old put up an impressive to help The Purples return to European football for the first time in five years after qualifying for next season's UEFA Europa Conference League.

Duncan has made 33 league appearances for Fiorentina this season, scored two and provided two assists in the process.

"The team is playing pretty well. I've been missing the goal for a long time, it's important," he said.

"We must continue like this until the end because anything can happen."

The Ghanaian opened the scoring for Fiorentina on the cusp of half-time before Nico Gonzalez fired his spot-kick low into the net, confirming a victory and a seventh-place finish.

Duncan represented Ghana at the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey playing four games during it. He made his full international debut on 14 November 2012 against Cape Verde.
