Former Black Stars striker, Asamoah Gyan, has revealed that his companies he established with his move he made from signing for Shanghai SIPG in China are emplaying Ghanaians.

The now 38-year-old played two years for the Chinese Super League club between 2015 and 2017 after joining from Al Ain.

In a recent interview, Gyan discussed the challenges he weighed before accepting the lucrative offer, highlighting the crucial advice he received from close advisors.

The decision proved fruitful as Gyan successfully launched multiple enterprises, including real estate, hostels, transportation services, Paradise Pac Water, and Baby Jet Boxing Promotion, providing significant employment opportunities in Ghana.

"It was a difficult decision for me, but I spoke to everyone around me, and we decided it was the best move for me," he said.

"Luckily, it turned out well for me, and we have managed to establish companies that are employing Ghanaians," he said on Wontumi Radio.

Gyan's move to China not only bolstered his personal career but also contributed to the league's growth, where he became one of Africa's highest-paid players, earning £225,000 weekly with Shanghai SIPG.
