Kumasi Asante Kotoko are on the verge of signing Ivorian midfield General Alexandre Kouame Kouassi ahead of the start of the 2016/17 season.

The player has been training with the Porcupine Warriors at their Adako Jachie base since they opened a pre-season camp.
Kouassi is a free agent after his contract with Moroccan Club Youssoufia Berrechid expired.

The former ASC Ouragahio is set to become the first official signing for a cash-strapped Kotoko side.
He will feature in the Kotoko's GHALCA G6 campaign which begins on November 13 as a justifier.
