Jagielka credits Everton crowd for Watford win

Everton veteran Phil Jagielka has credited the crowd for helping his side secure a dramatic 3-2 victory over Watford on Sunday.

The Toffees looked set for yet another defeat after goals from Richarlison and Christian Kabasle gave the Hornets a 2-0 lead. Everton however showed determination to bring themselves back into the game and eventually win through goals from Oumar Niasse, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Leighton Baines.

"It was edgy in the first half," admitted Everton's skipper. "The second half didn't go quite to plan but we showed character. Unsy made some positive substitutions.

"Thankfully, Oumar got us straight back in the game and that got the fans involved which made a real difference towards the end."

The win takes the Toffees out of the relegation zone and into 15th position on the Premier League standings with 11 points from 11 games. They will next take on Crystal Palace after the international break.
