Everton skipper Phil Jagielka has signed a new one-year extension that will keep him at the club until 2019.

The 34-year old defender, who moved to Goodison from Sheffield United in 2007, has added one more year to his current deal.
He told the club's website: "It has been a fantastic time here.

"But, hopefully, we will create some more special memories in the next two years and I can look back on my time at Everton with a smile on my face."
