James Rodriguez Quashes Speculation Linking Him Away From Real Madrid and Insists He's Happy

Real Madrid star James Rodriguez has insisted again that he won't be going anywhere in this summer's transfer window.

The 25-year-old's future has been speculated over for some time, given that he has never been a consistent starter under Zinedine Zidane, but it appears Rodriguez is happy enough at the Bernabeu.

Speaking after Los Blancos' impressive 3-1 Champions League win over Napoli, via the Daily Star,he said: "I think everything is going well, Madrid are a big club and I always wanted to be here.

"Good and bad things always happen but I want to stay here for a lot longer. I always train to play and I want to be here. You always want to play, now that I have more game time, everything is slowly changing."

The former Monaco and Porto attacker signed for Madrid back in 2014 for a whopping £63m, but hasn't yetdeveloped into the world class talent many thought he would have by now.

Under Zidane, the Colombian has never commanded a first-team spot, but the playmaker was still full of praise for the Frenchman, adding: "He's good, he's an excellent coach and he's very talented. I have spoken to him about certain issues already and I do not want to talk about it."

Rodriguez has made just 10 top flight appearances for Madrid this term, and has seemingly found the competition with Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale (pre-injury), Marco Asensio, Lucas Vazquez, Mateo Kovacic and Iscofor places difficult.

It is an adamant stance from the player, but whether or not he still feels the same way come the summer, if Chelsea or Manchester United come knocking, remains to be seen.
