James has featured on just eight occasions for Real Madrid in La Liga this campaign, with a single goal to show for his efforts. However, the 25-year-old's mother has now gone on the record to insist that her son will be a good boy and stay at the Bernabeu.

"What I know is that he is playing for the club of his dreams, which is what he always wanted," Pilar Rubio said toNoticias Uno.

"James is not going to give up."

The attacker played the full ninety minutes against Borussia Dortmund in Madrid's final Champions League group game, which ended in a 2-2 draw. The result kept Madrid second in the group and led them into to a Round of 16 draw against Italian side Napoli.

Los Blancosare the bookmakers' favourites to retain the Champions League, although they will be given stiff competition by the likes of Barcelona and Dortmund themselves.

They also have the possibility of facing challenges by English sides Manchester City, Arsenal and Leicester City should they progress past Napoli.

James' Madrid are ina commanding position domestically, as they leadin La Liga, with nearest challengers Barcelona trailing by six points.

The Colombian may be wise to heed the advice of his mother, if he wants to show off more silverware to her at the end of the season.
