James Rodriguez Willing to Stay at Madrid Despite Interest From England

According toSPORT, James Rodriguez's future is still uncertain, despite him wanting to stay and fight for his place.

Rodriguez has many admirers from the Premier League and has long been linked with a move to England. Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool are said to be willing to pay the hefty fee to acquire his services.

The Colombian international had a great start to life at the Bernabeu, with 13 goals and 13 assist in his first season, dazzling the fans with some spectacular goals.

However his starting spot came under threat after the change in managers, with both Rafa Benitez and Zinedine Zidane relegating him to a seat on the bench.

Zidane has shown with his squad selections that Rodriguez is behind Toni Kroos, Luka Modric and Casemiro in the pecking order, whilst he is also competing with attacking midfielder, Isco.

Despite Zidane refusing to start the creative midfielder, Real Madrid and the manager has publicly said this summer that he will not be sold.

Much of the football world believe he is a player that should be starting every game but the player seems to be willing to stay regardless of his lack of playing time. He is said to be willing to try and impress from the bench.

After only two substitute appearances in La Liga for the former Porto man this season, he already has registered an assist to his name and would be a welcome boost to each of the interested English teams.

Each team though has creative talent already at their disposal, so despite the 25-year-old's name and price tag, he could face further competition at each of these clubs, although he is likely to be given a starting spot.

With the transfer window closing on Wednesday, a big money bid would need to come in soon to tempt the club to part ways with the player and would have to allow Real president Florentino Perez to recoup most of the money paid to Monaco for the player.
