James Wilson has returned to Manchester United from Derby County after sustaining a knee injury in training for the Rams.
"On-loan James Wilson has returned to #MUFC for assessment on a significant knee injury sustained during Derby County training on Monday," United said on Twitter.
After initially breaking through under Louis van Gaal, the 20-year-old striker was sent out to the Championship club on loan to gain regular first-team football by Jose Mourinho. Wilson joined Derby in August on a season-long loan deal, making four appearances, scoring one goal -U23 team's 2-2 draw with Doncaster in the EFL Trophy on 4 October.

Wilson has impressed in flashes for United since breaking through from the youth squad, scoring four times in 20 appearances. He has also been capped by England at U16, U19, U20 and U21 level.
Wilson enjoyed a dream debut for United when he scored twice under interim boss Ryan Giggs, in a 3-1 win on Hull City.
"It was a great feeling, you can't compare it to anything else," Wilson said at the time.

The striker is perceived to be on the right trajectory but the feeling at Old Trafford was that he needed to get a season of first-team football under his belt before he could tackle the rigours of the top flight.
He lacks the raw pace of Marcus Rashford and does not have great physicality, but has shown on more than one occasion that he possesses a most valuable quality: an eye for goal.
