Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher has revealed what Zlatan Ibrahimovic used to ask former teammate Thierry Henry during his time at Barcelona, which suggests he wasn't as confident as he appears to be now.

The Swedish hit-man signed for Manchester United in the summer under new boss Jose Mourinho, and has hit the ground running so far in his debut season in the Premier League, scoring 12 goals in his last 12 outings, making it 13 goals in 19 appearances.

But despite being renowned for his admirable arrogance and confidence on the pitch during his career, Carragher has revealed that the former Catalan forward wasn't always head-strong on his own performances, and used to ask Henry what they were saying about him in the media.

Writing in his column in theDaily Mail, the Liverpool legend wrote: "He is box office, a 6ft 4in powerhouse with the balance of a No 10. He is a Manchester United player in every sense, with a swagger reminiscent of Eric Cantona. There is a new king in town

"Yet for all that brooding and self-belief, he has the same insecurities as all footballers.

"Thierry Henry told me that Zlatan used to ask: ˜What have they said about me?' when he knew he had been discussed on television."

Mourinho will be hoping that the ex-AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain striker can continue his fine form on Sunday afternoon, as the Red Devils welcome their fiercest top flight rivals Liverpool to Old Trafford in a clash that could put them back into the title race should they take all three points.
