Jamie Carragher Tells Liverpool Keeper Loris Karius: "Shut Up and Do Your Job!

Jamie Carragher told under-fire Liverpool goalkeeper to 'shut up and do your job' after criticising the player's performance against West Ham on Sunday.

The German goalkeeper, signed by Jurgen Klopp in the summer, failed to keep out Dimitri Payet's free-kick as the Frenchman made it 1-1 at Anfield in a game that eventually ended 2-2 and a crucial two points dropped for the Reds.

Karius hit out at Gary Neville after the pundit's criticism of his mistakes during Liverpool's defeat to Bournemouth, with Carragher offering his own, swift counter.

"The ˜keeper got criticism last week and has come out and had a pop at Gary Neville and mentioned me and my advice would be: ˜Shut up and just do your job,' Carragher said on Sky Sports at half-time.

"And doing your job and answering your critics would be saving that [Payet's free kick]. That is not difficult, I think the positioning is fine, he gets across and reads it well and he is there.

"And his wrists, again like the first goal at Bournemouth, are not strong enough. It is not even in the corner and Payet has not even hit it that hard."

Carragher also took to Twitter to urge journalist to ask Klopp questions about Karius' performance following the game.

Be nice if the journalists after the game ask Klopp their own questions rather than hiding behind mine! https://t.co/CzkOEMp8RR
