Leicester City's Jamie Vardy has admitted that the team deliberately chose to pressure Manchester City goalkeeper, Claudio Bravo, during the Foxes' impressive 4-2 win over Pep Guardiola's team last weekend.

Vardy had previously gone through one of the worst goal droughts of his career, but rediscovered his goalscoring touchby bagging a hat-trick as Leicester picked up a vital win that has now helpedeased any relegation fears that the club had.

The striker's final goal saw him pounce on a mix-up between City's John Stones and Claudio Bravo and with the goalkeeper coming under-fire for his poor performance, Vardy has suggested it was no coincidence that the Chilean struggled in the match at the King Power.

The Leicester star told theMail: "We'd been watching videos and they like to use the keeper. Their keeper is a ball player so once you've got them in the corner you have to press the keeper slightly and luckily the ball came across and he wasn't ready for it.

"I think they've obviously got their set way of playing and how their manager wants them to play. It worked out in our favour for this game but they're going to get results playing that way against other teams."

Vardy's suggestion that he and his teammates deliberately targeted City's back four and goalkeeper was resonated by club captain Wes Morgan, who admitted that the tactic had been premeditated after hours of studying last Saturday's opponents.

The centre backadded: "They like to build from the back and build through the field and get forward through good, quick passing football. We studied them in the week and decided to sit back, nick the ball when it comes into our danger area, and be effective on the counter-attack. It worked for us."

The Foxes now travel to the Vitality stadium on Tuesday evening where they face a Bournemouth side who have only lost twice at home this season. Claudio Ranieri's team will be looking to win back-to-back games for the first timeand despite their sluggish campaign, Leicester can move above the Cherries in the table should they claim all three points.
