Ghanaian international Jeffery Schlupp in an interview with Palace TV has recounted how his transfer to Crystal Palace went down.

The midfielder who excels in defensive and attacking roles started his career at Leicester City. There he spent 5 years in the academy team before subsequently playing 7 years for the senior team.

In 2017, he earned a transfer from the Foxes to join the Eagles in a move that he says happened very quickly.

Speaking to Palace Tv, Jeffery Schlupp recalled: “It was quite quick. It all happened on the Friday and I had to do it all before midday to be available for the game the next day. I was there from eight in the morning doing all the tests”.

He continued, "I was actually in London on the Thursday night watching the basketball. I then got the phone call saying I had a medical the next morning so I had to get back to Leicester to get my stuff – I got there at midnight - to then get back to London for the medical. It was quite wild to be honest. I was buzzing the whole time."

Since joining the Eagles, the Black Stars asset has played 2 seasons and is currently playing in his third. He has grown into a fine player and is one of the key assets for Crystal Palace at the moment.
