Schlupp underwent coronavirus test together with his teammates before returning to the pitch in small groups to train, amid strict measures to control the spread of the disease.

League officials, medical experts and representatives from all 20 sides held talks on Monday via a video conference call and agreed to stage one of the return to training protocols

Stage one enables squads to train while maintaining social distancing, but contact training is not yet permitted.

With 25 players present on Tuesday, there were three sessions for three groups.

The next phase of training will see a much larger group in a bid to prepare teams for the return of the Premier League.

The Premier League has been suspended since mid-March due to COVID-19, but it is expected to return in June.

Schlupp has made 14 league appearances and scored two goals for the Eagles from his defensive position as they lie 11th on the league table with 39 points after 29 matches played thus far.
