CK Akonnor has released his squad for the friendly against Mali and included Crystal Palace defender, Jeffrey Schlupp who has not featured for the side in the last four years.

Schlupp made his debut for the Black Stars in 2011 and grabbed his first goal against Mauritius in June 2015. He has racked up a total of 15 appearances for the national team in a space of five years,

The former Leicester City player has been unfortunate with tournaments as he is yet to feature in major tournaments for the Black Stars.

The recent callup will give him the platform to show Akonnor that he can be relied on for the qualifiers and possibly the AFCON and World Cup proper.
