Jeremie Frimpong delivers assist as Bayer Leverkusen beat Freiburg to maintain unbeaten run

Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Jeremie Frimpong delivered an outstanding performance to help Bayer Leverkusen beat Freiburg in the German Bundesliga on Sunday.

The enterprising right-back provided an assist as his side inflicted a 3-2 win over their opponent at the Europa-Park Stadion.

Frimpong started and lasted 83 minutes and contributed immensely to help his outfit beat Freiburg to maintain their unbeaten run in the top-flight this season.

Leverkusen opened the scoring just two minutes into the game through Florian Wirtz before Ritsu Doan restored parity for the home team in the 10th minute mark.

The visitors scored again to restore their lead in the 40th minute mark through Adam Hlozek as they went to recess with the advantage.

After the break, Frimpong assisted Patrik Schick to fire home his side second goal of the match in the 53rd minute before Yannik Keitel reduced the deficit in the 79th minute for Freiburg.

The 23-year-old right-back has now scored 8 goals and provided 8 assists in 24 appearances in the Bundesliga.
