Jeremie Frimpong is fit to face Kilmarnock - Celtic boss Lennon

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has confirmed Ghanaian defender Jeremie Frimpong has not suffered a long lasting injury and will be available to face Kilmarnock on Sunday.

The Scottish giants were sweating over the fitness of the right-back after he picked up an injury during the first half against Lille in the UEFA Europa League.

Frimpong limped out of the encounter with the French side having been fouled winning Celtic a penalty to go 2-1 up.

The 19-year-old was caught on the foot as he went to strike for goal and was in visible discomfort as he was helped from the field.

Speaking to the media ahead of their game against Kilmarnock, Neil Lennon said that Frimpong is fine. Watch the video below:

Celtic have a huge heavy run of fixtures coming up as they look to cut the gap at the top of the Scottish Premiership. They also face Hearts in the 2020/21 Scottish Cup final in 10 days time.
