Jeremie Frimpong's brother, Jeffrey Frimpong, revealed that he used the promise of buying a PS3 to help Jeremie develop steadily as a player.

Jeremie, who is now a right-back for Celtic, used to play as a right-winger and as a striker for his hometown club Clayton.

Jeffrey described how the promise got Jeremie to score more goals at each passing match.

"I used to tell him, 'you score this amount of goals, I'll buy you this, I'll take you there', " he told The Athletic.

"The PS3 came out around that time and I used to tell him, 'If you score three goals, then mum and I will put money towards buying you a PS3'. I was telling him this for like four months and basically, every game, he'd score a hat-trick."

He added: "Then it got to a point where he just kept scoring goals because it became a habit. I didn't need to tell him any more to do anything."

Jeremie was sensational for Celtic at the ended season and helped them to a Scottish league title. The Dutch-born Ghanaian is currently linked to a number of top clubs in the Premier League.
