German third division club SC Verl is pushing ahead with its plans for the coming 2023/2024 season.
The club has announced further key decisions, and all players on loan are turning to their various clubs. German-born Ghanaian midfielder Jesse Edem Tugbenyo is returning to Paderborn 07.
"We had good and honest talks with the players," says Verl's sporting director Sebastian Lange.
“Looking ahead to the new season, we had to make decisions that are important for the coming year. Some players need more match practice than last time and this cannot be guaranteed for them in the coming season. Others - like Niclas Thiede - can take the next step in their career. This also includes Luca Stellwagen and Jesse Tugbenyo,”
Jesse Edem Tugbenyo joined SC Verl from Paderborn 07 on 1st July 2022. The 22-year-old made 16 appearances, scored one goal, and assisted one in the German Bundesliga 3.
Tugbenyo's contract with SC Paderborn07 runs till 30th June 2024.
