Ghanaian striker, Joel Fameye missed Rubin Kazan's home defeat against Lokomotiv Moscow.
The striker missed the Russian Football Cup game due to injury.
Fameye was not included in the squad for the game.
"We are working on psychology, the match with Spartak is a certain lesson, we need to draw some conclusions from it, I talked about this with the team. We are well aware that freshness may not be enough, so a fairly extensive rotation was carried out," head coach Rashid Rakhimov told Match TV.
"The mood is not good because you are losing the match. I can’t say that we play badly, we are clearly outplayed. If we take all the matches, then we looked quite good in terms of organization, and gameplay. But some moments broke the team - when we conceded in the last minutes, it had an unpleasant effect on the mood, but I have to give credit to the team. I say that we show good, normal football, you need to pay attention to the little things, to understand that there are no details.
"Fameye has a slight injury, so he was given a pause," he added.
Fameye has so far played four games and has scored two goals.
